Albert C. Duebber founded what was to become Duebber's Automotive Service in February 1973 by purchasing an existing business in the western Greater Cincinnati area several miles from the present location. The two-bay service station was gradually outgrown and property was purchased less than three miles away to move and expand the business to its current location at 6095 Cleves Warsaw Pike.
Duebber's opened the new eight bay service center in June 1983. From the very beginning, Duebber's was staffed with well-qualified ASE Certified technicians specializing in preventative maintenance on passenger cars and light duty trucks. Duebber's was one of the first shops in the area to introduce a "customer reminder" program that notified their clients when their vehicle was due for service. At one point the response rate hovered at 70%. This program was eventually incorporated into their computer program and continues to this day.
Today
Duebber's Automotive currently has a customer base of over twenty-five hundred clients with a vehicle count close to five thousand. Eight ASE certified technicians service approximately one hundred fifty vehicles weekly. They are supported by a service writer,
Jim Schulten, a twenty-year veteran of Duebber's
. There are two part-time employees who alternate the daily responsibilities for customer shuttling, vehicle pick up and delivery, and parts acquisition when delivery is not available.Al Duebber requires ASE Certification for all the service technicians. Technicians are expected to attend training on on-going bases.
"It is so great to see good character in action in our community."
